It has been an extremely busy week, so tonight we sat down together and watched It's a wonderful life. My kids had never seen it, and even Troy said he couldn't remember the whole movie. We made popcorn and peeled oranges. It was a very satisfying evening.
The Christmas tree represents the tree of life as in the garden of Eden or Lehi's dream. The tree of life is what all men seek for. Nephi learned that the tree of life was the love of God expressed through the atonement of Christ. Through the atonement mankind may receive everlasting or eternal life.
