Oregon...with faces

Our trip in June was so much fun.  I love road trips.  There is something a little nostalgic about traveling in the car with people I love.  The scenery is different and I know new adventures are on the horizon.  So here is a little glimpse of our view of Oregon.

Hotel stays would not be the same without time in the pool.

Troy had to work, I am so grateful that he is willing and able to take time away so we can make some memories as a family.

We hiked Silver Falls, and saw 7 water falls in a 5 mile loop and it was breath taking.

I loved that we could walk behind the falls, it was magical.

We don't take a lot of pictures together, but I love it when we do.  I am so glad we chose each other.

I thought it was so cool that these trees would create a canopy over the trail.

This was our view from our hotel room.  The kids LOVED seeing the ocean for the first time.

The kids wouldn't stop for a posed picture but I love that they were so curious and had such a good time.

I know, I know, food pics.  But seriously this is some of the best chowder I have ever tasted.  How could it not be with a whole slab of butter?

The light house was so fun to see.  There is something romantic about them, we climbed all 111 steps to the top.

A view from the top down.

We spent some time at the Aquatic Center in Newport, and saw things that we never have seen before.

Fresh dipped ice cream bars along the docks never hurt anybody.

This is a continuation of Troy's thumbs up idea from Hawaii.  I have to agree with the kids, this little place was amazing.

He was so happy.  The air museum was his choice of all the things that we could go and visit.  You can see it in his eyes that this F-14 is everything he hoped.

The girls got a little silly at the air museum after we had seen everything that we wanted to.

We ended our trip Tillomook, at the cheese factory.  Really good cheese sandwiches and super yummy ice cream.  It was such a good time.  I started planning our next family trip before we even made it home.
